Hi friends, my name is Ricky Alderson and I am the proud owner of The Golden Shepherd! I have had a dream of starting my own business for quite some time now, I just never had enough faith in myself to accomplish it. It is so easy to jump to negative thoughts and give up because of fear and that is the exact reason why I wanted to start this brand. 

 

I have recently decided to take the step in becoming more comfortable and closer to my faith and to this day I am still on that journey. By no means am I 100% confident in speaking about the gospel but I am taking it one day at a time. One Sunday morning, my husband and I were sitting in church and I saw one of the band members wearing this t-shirt with a positive quote about God and I thought to myself "I need that shirt!" Instead of figuring out where this young man bought this t-shirt, I decided to take the leap and start my own way of not only spreading the gospel but wanting to spread love, happiness, and joy that sometimes gets left behind.  My husband, Kyle, and I have two beautiful dog babies. Hazel and Chevy. Chevy Boy is a Golden Retriever and Hazel Bazel is a German/Australian Shepherd mix. Can you see where I got the name? Our dogs are our entire worlds and it just only made sense to have them be a part of this beautiful journey. Whether it's running around the backyard, or eating all the treats in the house our pups are always happy and that is how life should be! ​Being a Christian woman I wanted to bring Gods love into my business because without him none of this would be possible.

 I have a huge love for fashion and bigger love for spreading positivity and happiness in this crazy world we live in. Some people forget to be blessed for the things they have because of all the negative circling around them. My hope with this brand is to change the negative thoughts to positive ones! With taking this one day at a time I hope to one day be able to bring this brand to life all around. Letting people know they are not alone and it is okay to lean on others when they need it the most. Spreading words of affirmation truly help the mind more then you can imagine. It takes more energy to be a negative person than it does to be a positive one. If you could be that one person to make someone smile, why not be it.
